LongQing Xia, part two

Once at the top of the dam you can take to the water or go hiking around the gorge. The 7 km long lake area is flanked by steep cliffs.

There are more than 30 spectacles to be seen, including the 'stone screen on water', 'axe-split mountain' and BaiHua (Hundred Flowers) Cave.

You can take a rowing boat or join a tour boat. Tourist boats run at intervals of 10 minutes for touring the gorge. One can enjoy the views from the boat and also stop off to visit historical sites along the way. It takes about three hours to tour all the scenic spots along the lake.
