The GuanYin of Mount XiQiao is a colossal statue in NanHai District of FoShan, GuangDong. This monument stands 62 m (203 ft) tall, and sits on a 15 m pedestal, making a total height of 77 m (253 ft). GuanYin is the bodhisattva of compassion in Buddhism. With The Hutchinsons ... The pepper stuffed with minced meat is a signature dish of the Hakka cuisine called 'niang', a descriptive word of the method of preparing the food. It's also common among other minority ethnic groups in southern China. The wide varieties of vegetables used for niang range from different kind of tofu to eggplants, bitter gourd, okra to even the spongy shell/skin of pomelo.

Sometimes in browsing the web disparate things just seem to come together, as here. Two different popular singing shows, one an established artist, one a teen on a first audition; one common theme - 'this girl is on fire'. In the first video, from 'I am a singer', I was so struck by the gusto of the performance. The cut-aways are to the other competitors; one can feel that the knives were out (in some cases) but she said 'take that', and nailed it ... The song is hard to translate but means something like : I want to be the real me (not one with a smile who is sad inside). Second is a lovely teen wearing a chili pepper (which is a big plus in my book); it's a bit rough in places but she hits the key lines great. Longjing Tea Hangzhou is the origin of the world-famous Longjing (Dragon Well) tea. Longjing Tea Village, located in the hills west of West Lake, offers a picturesque setting where visitors can learn about tea cultivation, enjoy tea tastings, and experience traditional tea ceremonies. The tea is renowned for its high quality, green color, fragrant aroma, sweet taste, and flat leaves. Grand Canal The Grand Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the longest canal or artificial river in the world. Hangzhou marks the southern end of this ancient waterway, which played a crucial role in the cultural and economic development of the region. Visitors can take boat rides to explore the historical and cultural sights along the canal. Modern Hangzhou Today, Hangzhou is a blend of traditional and modern influences. By Taxi: Taxis are a convenient option, especially if you are traveling with a group or have heavy luggage. Just ask the driver to take you to Jingshan Park (景山公园).
