The first Buddhist temple in China was constructed here in SiChuan province in the 1st century A.D. The addition of other temples has turned Éméi Shān into one of Buddhism's holiest sites and is one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China. All in all, there are now seventy six Buddhist temples and monasteries, most of them located near the mountain top. The first two films focus on the most well-known - the Golden Summit and the 48 meters tall statue of Samantabhadra, known in Mandarin as PǔXián PúSà 普賢菩薩.

'Now you're in Beijing ...' - think about it - you're in Beijing, China - it might be different but that is here and not there; sure some things could be better - such as rights and protections for migrant workers, but Rome wasn't built in a day, as they say. A few words on the Hu JinTao / Wen JiaBao era - definately one of China's most successful jumps forward; a major rise in prosperity for all, the growth of great infrastructure, such as the high-speed rail system, and much more, the Beijing Olympics, the Shanghai World Expo, space exploration, and the list goes on ... A happy retirement to two leaders who helped guide China back to greatness ! Mao ZeDong unified the country and helped defeat the Japanese invaders, and for that is a national hero. But things didn't go so well subsequently and on his death the 'Gang of Four' were arrested and China took a new path, though slowly at first following the courageous efforts of Deng XiaoPing. But it was not until circa 1990 that China really began to take off. So its rise to greatness, once more, is remarkable for having been achieved, from so little, in just 25 years. Obviously, they have done most things very right.

She is fluent in Mandarin (mainland China), Cantonese (Hong kong and GuangDong) and English. Here is the musical phenomenon, the incredibly wonderous Gem Tang; she always gives it all ... Falling (original by Alicia Keys) ... 'If I were a boy' 《挑战碧昂丝》 (original by Beyonce) ... Something goes wrong with the mike or mix just before 45 seconds (lower volume), which must be pretty off-putting, but still the emotion and performance win through, despite a few duff notes (an effort for mix error compensation I would think). These things happen in live shows, and generally HuNnan TV does really good output. Listen to song two for a better measure of voice talent (not to mention piano skills). The mix is a bit off in other ways too, but still, a great turn and a song with an important message, for boy or girl - don't let 'the one' slip away ... 存在 ... Beyond《喜欢你》 ... We will rock you / We are the champions (original by Queen) ... Imagine (original by John Lennon) ...
