YunNan province.

ShānDōng lies on the coast in east China, roughly halfway between BeiJing and ShangHai. Provincial capital : JiNan. Also includes the city of QuFu, the birthplace of Confucius. Other well-known cities include QingDao, ZaoZhuang, YanTai, WeiFang, JiNing, LinYi and DeZhou. Among others, ShanDong is known for TaiShan sacred mountain, a large number of natural springs that arise from the mountains to the west (ShanDong means 'East of the Mountains), DaMing Lake formed from the spring waters, LaoShan Scenic Area, Thousand Buddha Mountain, LingYan Temple - one of the 4 most famous temples (四大名刹) from the Tang dynasty, PengLai Pavilion, wine-making and its distinctive cuisine, partly centered on seafood.

The first time I went to JuYong Pass was a coach trip and we had only an hour at this stop on the tour. Yet I was determined to get to the top and return to the coach on time. Result - absolute exhaustion, but I did manage to get some photos along the way :) In this video, a lot of the early part of the climb is skipped, but I still think you will get the picture. JuYongGuan is the inner pass of BaDaLing Great Wall. A great movie moment, superb filming ...

The MaiJiShan Grottoes are filled with thousands of Buddhist sculptures. These were carved from the Wei dynasty to the Song dynasty by Buddhist monks who first came here via the North Silk Road. The grottoes are close to TianShui, which is the second largest city in GanSu province in central China, with a population of approximately 3.5 milion. The city lies along the route of the ancient Northern Silk Road by the Wei River, through which much of the trade flowed between China and the West. The Qin state, the founding dynasty of China, arose in this part of China.

Nightlife and dining in China's capital. This video is pretty creative. The narration made it personal and real. A contemporary arts zone in north east BeiJing with many galleries, bookshops, cafes and more. Changes all the time; though some 1950s factory look lingers. If you like to wander and come across the unexpected, it is well worth a visit. A fascinating place and an example of the 'new China'. With Jason Zhang ... HǎiKǒu, known as the 'Coconut City', is the capital of semi-tropical HaiNan province in south China; a port city on the island's north coast, facing the mainland.
