HuangHua Great Wall 黄花长城, BeiJing

HuangHua Great Wall, directly north of Beijing at the town of JiuDuHe and 29 km northwest of the town of HuaiRou.

The Great Wall here is picturesque, crosses a river and small reservoir and is about 11km in length.

In summer, all the villages in this area are immersed in yellow flowers, hence the popular name HuangHua ('Yellow Flower'). In autumn, the yellow flowers give way to swathes of golden leaves.
